Places to Stay

There are plenty of places to stay in and around the redwood forest, where you can wake up amongst the impressive sequoias.  Most of the Redwood National Parks and State Parks only offers primitive camping with no RV hookups, but the Redwoods KOA Holiday campground is a great place to stay!  You’ll find pull-through sites, 30amp/50amp hookups, and more!  Plus, the website allows you to input all your information about your stay and make a reservation easily!

Things to See

So many travelers make the redwood forest in California a priority because of the breathtaking views like the one pictured below. The sequoias are massive trees that seem to be straight out of a fantasy world rather than here in the U.S.A. You and your kids will love spending time hiking, exploring, and taking in the beauty of this incredible forest.

Tours and Other Attractions

The Redwood National Park offers plenty of ranger-guided options for tours and experiences in the park. You can visit the on-site museums and dive into the area’s history or book a kayaking tour on the Smith River. However, you choose to spend your time, be sure to take along a camera! You’ll want to get plenty of photos of your family at the base of these otherworldly trees.
